Z-ALANINE NCA - Introduction
Z-L-Alanine N-carboxyanhydride(Z-L-Alanine N-carboxyanhydride) is an organic compound with the chemical formula C11H11NO4. It is a solid, white to light yellow crystalline powder at room temperature.
Z-L-Alanine N-carboxyanhydride is an important reagent for the synthesis of peptides and proteins. It can be used as a protecting group for amino acid sequences, helping to prevent side reactions and cross-polymerization of amino acids during synthesis. It can be synthesized by introducing the protecting group Cbz (benzoyloxy) on the alanine carboxyl group. Z-L-Alanine N-carboxyanhydride can be reacted with other amino acids or polypeptides in hydrofluoric acid or methylene chloride to form the desired peptide chain.
Z-L-Alanine N-carboxyanhydride are generally prepared by introducing a Cbz protecting group onto the alanine carboxyl group. First, L-alanine was dissolved in dichloromethane, and benzoyl chloride (Cbz-Cl) and N,N-dimethylethylenediamine (DIEA) were added as catalysts under basic conditions. The reaction then proceeds to form the Z-L-Alanine N-carboxyanhydride product.
When using Z-L-Alanine N-carboxyanhydride, you need to pay attention to the following safety information: It is irritating and avoid contact with eyes, skin and mucous membranes. Wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves. Keep away from ignition and oxidizing agents during storage and handling. Try to operate in a well-ventilated place to avoid inhaling aerosols or dust. If taken by mistake or inhaled by mistake, seek medical attention immediately.
